Whatnot numbered listings vs detailed listings
There are two ways to load a Whatnot clothing show. Numbered listings ('Medium #1', 'Medium #2' and on) are quick placeholders you describe on camera. Detailed listings name every piece, with brand, size, condition and photos. Most sellers end up using both. Here's when each one makes sense.

Key takeaways
- —Numbered listings are fast to create and suit rails, mystery bundles and fresh hauls you haven't photographed.
- —Detailed listings take longer but show up properly in Whatnot, carry photos, and suit higher-value pieces.
- —You can run both in one show: named pieces first, a numbered rail after.
- —Numbered listings still need the right category, condition and UK shipping band.
Numbered listings
A numbered listing is a placeholder. You create 'Medium #1' to 'Medium #30' and 'Small #1' to 'Small #20', each with a size-appropriate shipping band, and describe each piece on camera as it comes up.
- Good for: rails, mystery bundles, a haul you bought this morning, low-value pieces
- Fast: thirty listings in the time it takes to type one
- Trade-off: no photos or details in the listing, so it all depends on what viewers see on stream
Detailed listings
A detailed listing names the item: brand, what it is, colour and size in the title, the right condition, and photos.
- Good for: branded pieces, anything over a few pounds, stock you'll sell elsewhere if it doesn't go
- Shows properly in Whatnot with pictures, so buyers can see what's coming
- Trade-off: each one takes longer to create, unless you build them from stock you've already logged
Mixing both
A common structure is named pieces through the main part of the show and a numbered rail to finish. Size-based shipping bands keep the numbered rows simple: Small and below on 250 to <500 grams, Medium on 500 to <750 grams, Large on 750 grams to <1 KGs, XL on 1 KGs to <2 KGs.
Making either one quick
For numbered listings, the free Whatnot CSV generator builds the rows, with category, condition and shipping, without an account.
In ResellIQ you can do both. Type or say '30 medium, 20 small' to get the numbered rows, and pick named pieces from your stock, including a Vinted import, in the stream planner. Voice mode has a Temporary option that only produces the Whatnot CSV and never adds the items to your stock, for one-off hauls you're clearing in a single show.
