For UK Resellers
ResellIQ for UK Resellers
ResellIQ is built around the platforms, pricing, and practices of UK reselling. From Vinted and Depop to eBay UK and Whatnot — with GBP throughout, UK market data, and record-keeping that makes HMRC self assessment far less painful.
UK reselling is different. ResellIQ knows that.
The UK reselling market has its own shape. Vinted dominates secondhand clothing in a way it simply doesn't in the US. Depop is where Gen Z resellers have built entire businesses. eBay UK operates differently to eBay.com — different fees, different buyer expectations, different listing norms. Whatnot's UK community is growing fast. Charity shops, car boot sales, Primark clearance and B&M hauls are key sourcing channels that don't exist elsewhere.
Most reseller tools are US-centric. They calculate fees in USD, pull market data from eBay.com, and integrate only the platforms popular with American resellers. UK resellers end up converting currencies, second-guessing pricing data, and using tools that half-work for their actual platforms.
ResellIQ was built by people in the UK, for UK resellers. Everything defaults to GBP and eBay UK data. Vinted and Depop are first-class integrations, not afterthoughts. The fee calculator knows the difference between eBay UK's standard fee structure and eBay US. You get tools that work for your actual business.
Platform support for UK sellers
Vinted
ResellIQ generates listing descriptions optimised for Vinted's format — casual tone, the right hashtags, sizing info that Vinted buyers expect. The Vinted import feature pulls your existing Vinted inventory into ResellIQ so you don't start from scratch. Gmail sync picks up Vinted order notifications automatically.
ResellIQ + Vinted →Depop
Depop has its own culture and its own listing style. ResellIQ's AI listing generator writes Depop descriptions that fit — down to the emoji usage and hashtag formatting that performs on the platform. Gmail order sync surfaces Depop sales as action cards the moment they land in your inbox.
ResellIQ + Depop →eBay UK
eBay is where UK resellers tend to make the most money per item — especially for vintage, branded clothing, and collectibles. ResellIQ pulls live active listing data from eBay UK for every item you add. Gmail sync captures eBay order confirmations and creates dispatch action cards automatically.
ResellIQ + eBay UK →Whatnot
Whatnot's UK community is growing rapidly, particularly in the Pokémon card and vintage clothing spaces. Gmail sync captures Whatnot sale confirmations and creates dispatch action cards, so you can manage post-stream fulfilment without losing track of who bought what.
HMRC and trading allowance — know where you stand
If you earn over £1,000 from reselling in a tax year, you need to register for self assessment and report that income to HMRC. The £1,000 trading allowance means the first £1,000 is tax-free — but you still need records to prove your income if asked. Once you exceed the allowance, you can either deduct the allowance (simpler) or deduct your actual allowable expenses (often better if costs are high).
ResellIQ keeps detailed records of every sale (income), every purchase (cost of goods), and every business expense (packaging, fees, travel, subscriptions). All of this is exportable as a CSV at any time. The data is structured with the categories HMRC expects — so when January arrives, you're not scrambling through bank statements trying to reconstruct what happened.
ResellIQ is not an accountancy tool, and you should use an accountant or HMRC's online gateway for the actual filing. But having clean, accurate records from ResellIQ makes any accountant's job — and your own — significantly easier.
Sourcing in the UK — tracking what matters
UK resellers source from charity shops, car boot sales, Facebook Marketplace, B&M clearance, Primark, Vinted (buying to resell), liquidation pallets, and specialist wholesalers. ResellIQ lets you tag each item with its source platform so the analytics can tell you which is most profitable.
The analytics dashboard shows your ROI by sourcing channel — so you can see whether charity shops are giving you a better margin than Vinted flips, or whether car boot purchases are taking too long to sell. These are the numbers that make you a better buyer, not just a better seller.
- Tag items to source channel: charity shop, car boot, Vinted, wholesale, etc.
- See average ROI and sell time per source
- Compare margin across different types of hauls
- Identify which sources produce items that sit
ResellIQ UK — frequently asked questions
- Is ResellIQ's pricing in GBP?
- Yes. All prices, fees, and profit calculations in ResellIQ use GBP by default. Market data is pulled from eBay UK, not the US marketplace.
- Can ResellIQ help with HMRC self assessment?
- ResellIQ keeps detailed records of all income (sales), cost of goods, and business expenses. You can export a full CSV at any time. This data forms the basis of a self-assessment return, though ResellIQ is not an accountancy tool and you should use an accountant for final tax filings.
- Does ResellIQ work with Vinted?
- Yes. ResellIQ generates Vinted-optimised listing descriptions and can import your Vinted inventory. See the dedicated Vinted page for full details.
- What UK platforms does ResellIQ integrate with?
- Direct integrations: eBay UK (market data + Gmail order sync), Vinted (listing generation + import), Depop (Gmail order sync + listing generation), and Whatnot (Gmail order sync). Manual tracking works for any platform.
- Do I need a limited company to use ResellIQ?
- No. ResellIQ is just as useful for sole traders and side-hustle resellers as it is for registered businesses. The record-keeping features are equally valuable whether you're filing under self assessment or managing a company.
- Is there a free plan for UK users?
- Yes. The free plan covers 50 items and 10 AI scans per month — no credit card required. You get full access to inventory tracking, expenses, and market data. Pro and Premium plans unlock more items, scans, and advanced features.
