In 2024 Depop removed its 10% seller selling fee in key markets and shifted costs to buyer-paid fees, so sellers in those markets keep the full item price. If your account is on legacy terms (a ~10% selling fee and/or a payment-processing fee around 2.9% + £0.30), enter those into the fields. Fees and regions change; adjust to match your account. How much does Depop take?

Depop's fee model changed in 2024. The long-standing 10% selling fee was removed in key markets and replaced by fees paid by the buyer, meaning sellers in those markets now keep the full item price — similar to Vinted. Whether this applies to you depends on your region and account, which is why the calculator defaults the selling fee to 0 but keeps every field editable.

If your account still operates on legacy terms, you'd typically see a selling fee around 10% of the total (item plus postage) and a payment-processing fee around 2.9% plus £0.30 per transaction. Enter those into the selling-fee and payment-processing fields to model the older structure.

Working out real Depop profit

Whatever fee model applies, your profit is what you're paid minus what the item cost you and the postage and packaging you cover. On Depop, sellers often offer free or subsidised postage to compete, so that cost can quietly remove a chunk of margin — make sure it goes in the postage field.

Margin and ROI are the figures worth watching over time. A 70% margin on a £10 item is only £7; a 25% margin on a £60 item is £15. The calculator surfaces both so you can compare sales of very different sizes fairly.
